BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />As the County continues to grow, additional assistance is needed in the Finance Department, specifically the <br />Accounts Division. All sections in the division have more responsibilities and additional work. There are new <br />Governmental Accounting Standards Board statements to implement, more contracts to certify funds, <br />additional employees to process payroll, additional requirements from ERS and others, more invoices to <br />process, and assistance is needed by departments that are short on accounting personnel. In addition, we <br />will be beginning the implementation of our new ERP system.
