RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br />LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br />FOR MULTI -YEAR LEASES FOR ONE (1) FORKLIFT, ONE (1) <br />3-TON DUMP TRUCK AND ONE (1) SUPER DUTY TRUCK WITH <br />UTILITY BODY AND CRANE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br />later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi -year leases for <br />five (5) years, for one (1) forklift, one (1) 3-ton dump truck and one (1) super duty <br />truck with utility body and crane; and <br />WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of <br />Environmental Management's Wastewater Division and is essential for their daily <br />operations; and <br />WHEREAS, the current equipment is dated and requires frequent repairs at <br />increasing costs; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases <br />for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of <br />Environmental Management. <br />
