WHEREAS, Ho'oulu Ldhui seeks funds to purchase plastic pots, cinder, composted <br />mulch, plant and vegetable starts (seedlings), and fertilizer for distribution to the community at <br />the Puna Food Summit; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support alcohol - <br />free and drug -free community events; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Liquor Control to provide a grant to Ho'oulu Ldhui for expenses relating to the Puna Food <br />Summit, a community activation event of Revitalize Puna. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc. Contract Services <br />(Ho'oulu Ldhui — Puna Food Summit) <br />$2,500 <br />$2,500 <br />14 <br />
