• <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I : <br /> o ' STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> • �rE FN�� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 451 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES OF THREE (3) FIRE APPARATUS FOR <br /> THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year lease <br /> agreements for five (5) years, for three (3) fire apparatus consisting of one hazmat <br /> truck and two engines; and <br /> WHEREAS, the hazmat truck will be replacing a vehicle at the Kaumana Fire <br /> Station and the engines will replace units at the Pahoa and Volcano Fire Stations; <br /> now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year <br /> lease agreements for the equipment as indicated above, for the <br /> Fire Department. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the <br /> agreement. <br />
