Looking at relief for those who lease to those <br /> impacted, they could not pay any property taxes. County looking at modular housing. Ohana <br /> assisted pilot program to build ADU to rent to someone for workforce housing. Looking to <br /> improve the permitting process. Concern if ash gets in to the water it will impact the water. Also <br /> trying to cap the entry points from the homes that burnt down. Passed a bill for subdivision of <br /> historical sites. Approved financing mechanisms for low income housing. Met with CNHA for <br /> community land trust. Iver 2000 sites to be cleared. A lot of the roads will be in even more <br /> disrepair after the debris removal, will need to remove the asphalt and repair. Have not yet done <br /> a comprehensive assessment on sewer lines. Some of the properties had cesspool, looking to if <br /> can upgrade to septic or if can sewer the area. Conversation about rebuilding the sea walls. <br /> Further discussion on the restoration of the burn zone. Some of the homes in the burn zone are <br /> still standing, most of them with water and power people are living here. Some are inaccessible <br /> due to it being in the middle of a burn area. <br /> iv. City and County of Honolulu <br /> Secretary Waters: Discussion on the Governors proclamation on housing, it allows development <br /> to go through DPP directly and not the council. When they go through the council the council is <br /> able to support the process to ensure affordable housing developments. Mayor Wrights housing- <br /> 5 phases, 10-15 yr project. Discussion on tax reform measures, appraisals this year are <br /> significantly lower. Last year they were up 14%, this year they are 2%. Lower appraisals means <br /> lower revenues. <br /> c.
