Communication (12/08/2023) from Hawai`i County, transmitting Resolution <br /> No. 356-23, "A RESOLUTION APPROVING LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS <br /> AND PRIORITIES FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2024 HAWAI`I STATE <br /> ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE," which was <br /> approved by the County of Hawai`i on November 15, 2023. <br /> f. Communication (12/08/2023) from Secretary Tommy Waters, requesting the <br /> following items to be added to the agenda: <br /> i. Selection of 2024 HSAC slate of officers. <br /> ii. Budget for deposits for golf tournament and conference. <br /> iii. Status of payment for hosting NACo Executives during HSAC Conference <br /> September 20-21, 2023. <br /> CM Waters: Discussion on the roles of each officer and suggestion to rotate so everyone gets the <br /> shot at serving as President. HNL is happy to serve as Treasurer. <br /> CM Kimball:Happy to serve, would need to put through resolutions before the end of January. <br /> Kamakana Watanabe: 31st is for the slate of officers. <br /> ED Parsons: 2024 officers: President Kimball, Vice President Paltin, Secretary Carvalho, <br /> Treasurer Waters. <br /> Motion to adopt the 2024 slate of officers approved. <br /> CM Waters: Will make a motion and follow up on deposit when they determine which hotel and <br /> find out the amount for the deposit. <br /> CM Carvalho:Approves the reimbursement but not the alcohol. <br /> ED: The HSAC dinner in DC does not reimburse for alcohol, however the conference does serve <br /> alcohol. <br /> Further discussion on whether or not to include an alcohol policy going forward. <br />
