Fountain-Tanigawa, County Clerk, <br /> Kaua`i County Council, transmitting Resolution No. 2023-66, "RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING PROPOSALS FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2024 HAWAI`I STATE <br /> ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE," which was <br /> approved by the Kauai County Council on November 15, 2023. <br /> b. Communication (11/16/2023) from President Carvalho, transmitting the 2023 <br /> HSAC Annual Conference report. <br /> CM Carvalho: Review of the conference and the attached conference report. Discussion on how <br /> to transfer the funds for the security deposit. Need to update the signature cards. <br /> CM Waters:Review of the hotels being considered, decision still pending. <br /> Conference report received. <br /> c. Communication (11/16/2023) from City and County of Honolulu, transmitting <br /> Resolution No. 23-268, FD1, "RELATING TO THE 2024 HAWAII STATE <br /> ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE," which was <br /> approved by the City and County of Honolulu on November 1,2023. <br /> d. Communication (11/20/2023) from President Carvalho,requesting agenda time to <br /> discuss HSAC's current classification and possibility of reclassifying to a <br /> 501(c)(6)organization, if applicable. <br /> ED: Reason for review is from looking at other state associations and want to verify we <br /> are operating correctly. <br />
