Treasurer's Report <br /> CM Kimball:Balance in the primary HSAC account: $236,397.18 <br /> Balance in the HSAC conference account: $5,002.25 <br /> Total deposit account balances: $241,399.43 <br /> CM Kimball: We did a half year review of the budget, expecting to be underspent by$15,000 as <br /> the current budget spending. <br /> ED Parsons: As a reminder, we have already adjusted the budget to include the additional <br /> $15,000 for the audit, which was not in the original budget. <br /> b. County Reports: <br /> i. County of Hawai`i <br /> CM Kimball: Introduction of the short term rental bill package, 3 bill package, update to short <br /> term rental code and hosting platform accountability, sunset of the bed and breakfast program, <br /> update to our ohana code. Also have legislation around abandoned properties, mostly around <br /> public health and safety to be able to go in and contact someone. Long term rental tax class <br /> going through, we already have an affordable housing tax class. Private road issue, if there is a <br /> public benefit, fire/civil defense/police, need to get the thumbs up to do work on. Budget <br /> amendment for community grant for Puna especially. Charged by EPA to look at plastic <br /> reduction, working with Tampa Florida to work on this. co-chairing committee on this. . <br /> ii. County of Kaua`i <br /> CM Carvalho:Had two meetings since the last executive meeting. <br />
