These funds will be used to <br /> hold a free used tire collection and disposal event for Hawai`i County residents with <br /> educational outreach associated with tire waste. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed <br /> is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $10,000. <br /> The Department of Environmental Management is requesting that this bill be waived <br /> • from the Finance Committee and be placed on the June 5, 2024 Council agenda in order <br /> to expedite the receipt of these funds.
