'BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />HIEMA had stocked pile generators that currently were sifting in their warehouse not in use. The <br />Administrator from HIEMA is dedicated in supporting and enhancing management capabilities throught the <br />State of Hawaii. As part of its mission, HIEMA offered these generators to the local emergency centers to <br />ensure preparedness, response, and recovery efforts are robust and effective and well supported for <br />operational readiness. Recognizing the crutial role that local emergency organizations play in safeguarding <br />our communities, HIEMA has identified a pressing need to bolster our resources and support systems. <br />These generators will assist our departments local emergency response capabilities due to increasing <br />challenges posed by natural disasters and other emergencies in our region. <br />DATE: <br />Departm9fit Head <br />
