Order medical devices, durable medical equipment <br />1.0 (5) Unless authorized to practice as a licensed midwife under this act, a person shall not use or <br />1.1 imply the use of the words or term "licensed midwife," or any similar title or description of <br />12 services with the intent to represent that the person practices midwifery as a licensed midwife. <br />13 Certified midwife scone: In addition to the scone of a licensed midwife. the certified <br />14 midwife (CM) may <br />15 (1) Obtain prescriptive authority to independently prescribe medications including but not <br />16 limited to controlled substances, treatment of substance use disorder, and expedited partner <br />17 therapy_ <br />18 (2) Admit, manage, and discharge patients to and from hospital or freestanding birthing <br />19 facilities; <br />20 <br />(3) Assist in surgery, provided that this subparagraph <br />shall only apply <br />to licensed midwives <br />21 <br />practicing as certified midwives, MAR 89- <br />C 16-89-81 (c 3:A-v)]; <br />and <br />22 (4) Order home health services. <br />23 Certified professional midwife scope: In addition to the scope of a licensed midwife, the <br />13 <br />
