NO. <br />1. would be grounds for disciplining a licensee; <br />2 (5) Appoint an advisory committee to assist with the implementation of this chapter and the <br />3 rules adopted pursuant thereto. The advisory committee shall consist of the following: <br />4 (A) Three midwives who are certified professional midwives; <br />5 (B) Two members of the public; and <br />6 (C) One certified midwife; if none is available, a certified nurse midwife who works in <br />7 the community birth setting, if none is available a certified professional midwife; and <br />8 (6) Remove or otherwise modify the authorization to furnish or prescribe prescription drugs and <br />9 legend devices by rule under chapter 91. [L 201.9, c 32, pt of §2] <br />10 Section 5 - Scope of practice. Licensed Midwife. Certified Midwife. Certified <br />11 Professional Midwife. Licensed midwife scope: <br />12 (1) A licensed midwife may not practice without a current and valid certification and license. <br />13 (2) A licensed certified midwife (CM) shall at all times practice within the scope of practice <br />14 and national standards as delineated by ACNM or its successor; a licensed certified <br />15 professional midwife (CPM) shall at all times practice within the scope of practice and national <br />16 standards as delineated by NARM or its successor. <br />17 (3) Clarifications of the scope of practice of a licensed midwife may be established by the <br />18 Department consistent with national standards of ACNM for the certified midwife, or NARM <br />19 for the certified professional midwife. <br />20 (4) The scope of practice of a licensed midwife includes; <br />21 a. Authorization to order and interpret medical laboratory and diagnostic tests, to <br />22 perform ultrasound scanning and to obtain equipment and supplies necessary for the <br />23 safe practice of midwifery; <br />12 <br />
