Brown <br />Deputy Director <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Capital Budget to increase the current <br />fiscal year's appropriation of the Hilo WWTP Rehabilitation and Replacement project by <br />$116,000,000 bringing the total to $226,000,000. This additional appropriation is needed <br />as the costs to renovate the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant are higher than anticipated. <br />The Department of Environmental Management respectfully requests that a breach be <br />authorized to submit this resolution after the September 13, 2024 submission deadline, <br />and be placed on the October 1, 2024 Committee agenda in order to move forward with <br />the project.
