COUNTY OF HAWAI`I RESOLUTION NO. 715 24, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR AGREEMENT FOR A CITY -SCALE REUSABLE FOODWARE AND BOTTLE SYSTEM FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT. WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi -year agreement for three (3) years with two (2) one (1) year option periods, for a city - scale reusable foodware and refillable bottle system in Hilo, Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the selected contractor will establish reusable foodware systems that support the county's efforts to reduce waste and pollution, reduce net life cycle Greenhouse Gas emissions, reduce net lifecycles water usage, and create local service jobs, compared to disposable alternatives; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year agreement with two (2) one (1) year option periods for the services as indicated above, for the Department of Environmental Management.
