We in Hawaii County would like the opportunity <br />to regulate TARS under ag tourism. It would allow us to ensure that agricultural activities were <br />happening when there was a TAR on ag land. <br />Measure NOT approved for inclusion in the HSAC legislative package. <br />8)Jenn Kagiwada: The homeless services fund through conveyance tax. It's a conveyance tax that <br />the State would do, but it would allow some special funds to go towards affordable <br />homeownership, revolving fund, homeless services, special fund dwelling unit revolving fund and <br />amend allocations to the Land Conservation Fund and Rental Housing Revolving Fund. <br />Sue Lee Loy: Connections funding are innovative solutions, to me that is a very forward thinking <br />type of piece of legislation. It has to get more broad and inclusive to start addressing the other <br />barriers that are getting in the way of housing (wastewater issues, cultural reviews, ect). <br />Measure approved for inclusion in the HSAC legislative package. <br />9) This bill proposes the same preferences for local workers, local residents, returning students <br />from college and even county and state workers for 201Hprojects. <br />Measure approved for inclusion in the HSAC legislative package. <br />So that leaves for inclusion in our package: the retirement, the drop bill, tobacco, denitrification, <br />cesspool timeline, GET, conveyance tax and housing preference. <br />Priorities: <br />1) Increasing funds for emergency preparedness <br />community level emergency planning. <br />Approved. <br />2) Legislation related to lowering costs and <br />homeowners and businesses. <br />Approved <br />evacuation routes, notification systems, <br />expanding availability of insurance for <br />3) Legislation related to workforce development, particularly for green jobs and <br />government positions. <br />Approved. <br />4) The midwifery, licensure and reproductive health care is there as a priority. <br />NOT Approved. <br />5) There's the priority gain management for wild ungulates, pigs, deer, all the things. <br />Approved. <br />6) Legislation related to extended producer responsibility for solid waste. <br />
