NACo Report <br />KipuKai Kuali`i: There's full funding opportunities and Federal grants that are coming up: <br />• the continuum of care: deadline November 21st <br />• Americorps: deadline January 23-25 <br />• USDA Rural business development grant: deadline February <br />• Other resources, and of course go to always go to the www.NACO.em <br />• Winter board meeting: Dec 4-7 It's a county crossroads, symposium, mobile <br />journey, exploring the county landscape. They're having 5 different mobile <br />workshops over the course of 3 days. The workshops will cover disaster <br />management, managing water resources, conserving natural landscapes, <br />safeguarding agriculture and heritage, and promoting sustainable ways of <br />development. <br />• Legislative Conference: March 1-4 <br />• WIR Conference: Rapid City, South Dakota in May <br />• WIR Summer Conference: Philadelphia, July <br />CM Paltin: The NACo President is appointing me to some disaster task force, mostly virtual with <br />3 in person meetings, probably in DC or something. To advise the Feds on disaster response. <br />d. WIR Report <br />Shane Sinenci: The NACo President also put me on the Energy committee. Maui WIR 2026 still <br />in planning. <br />Executive Director Report <br />Nahelani Parsons: I submitted my report. Additionally as part of outreach I'm putting together a <br />packet to mail to every council member with materials from NACO and an introduction letter <br />about what HSAC is. Follow up with an email newsletter and then additionally an offer to meet <br />in person on behalf of HSAC. <br />f. Legislative Report <br />Nahelani Parsons: President Kimball and I met with Senator Chang about the Housing bill that's <br />in the HSAC legislative package, which was really helpful. We also met with Finance Chair <br />Representative Kyle Yamashita. <br />Motion to accept reports. Approved. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />a. Review and approval of the following documents from Carbonaro CPAs & <br />Management Group: <br />i. Conflict of interest policy. <br />
