REQUEST: <br /> The Department of Public Works Highways Division is requesting,a resolution authorizing the payment of <br /> funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease of one (1) asphalt <br /> distributor truck for the District of South Hilo. The lease to purchase would be for a period of no more than <br /> five (5) years. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The asphalt distributor truck will be used islandwide to assist DPW Highways personnel with construction, <br /> resurfacing, and maintenance projects. Currently, DPW Highways has one(1) asphalt distributor truck to be <br /> shared with all districts and with the many projects islandwide an additional asphalt distributor truck will <br /> increase productivity and operations throughout the island. <br /> This lease is for a period of no more than five(5) years. The purchase price is $278,652.90. The estimated <br /> lease cost is approximately $4,644.22 per month or$55,730.64 annually.
