COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />214 25 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER <br />FISCAL YEARS TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -YEAR AGREEMENT FOR <br />ESRI SOFTWARE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION <br />TECHNOLOGY <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (hereinafter "the <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the <br />payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal <br />year shall be made or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology (hereinafter "the <br />Department") wishes to enter into a multi -year agreement, with a term of three years, for <br />ESRI software; and <br />WHEREAS, this software will be utilized by various departments countywide for <br />Geographical Information Systems (GIS), permit systems, and emergency services; and <br />WHEREAS, this agreement provides for GIS server components and <br />configurations, desktop software, and ArcGIS online capabilities; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year agreement for the <br />purposes hereinabove described. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal <br />years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the <br />agreement. <br />
