REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br />DATE: June 17, 2025 Re: Comm. No. 336/Res. No. 214-25 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawai `i <br />TIME: 1:00 P.M. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 214-25, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 214-25, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication <br />No. 336, dated May 29, 2025, authorizes the payment of funds of later fiscal years to enter into a <br />multi -year agreement for ESRI Software for the Department of Information Technology. <br />This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year ageement with an approximate annual <br />cost of $180,400 plus taxes, to provide Geographical Information Systems (GIS) server components and <br />configurations, desktop software, and ArcGIS online capabilities for GIS, permit systems, and <br />emergency services for various departments countywide. <br />Information Technology Director Corey Stone was present and provided some background. <br />Committee Member James E. Hustace commented in support of this measure and inquired as to how <br />many departments will be utilizing this system.
