56, According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits to be derived from your County fund <br />request: <br />Culture and the arts <br />* 57, In 2,,000 characters or less,, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />With this funding, we will create an accessible space where families and community members of all ages can learn,, <br />connect., and take part in hands-on activities and learn about the importance of hala. Your support will allow us to secure a <br />community venue,, provide meals for volunteers, and offer engaging activities such as face painting and hands-on <br />educational activities. We anticipate reaching over 1,200 attendees., with at least 75 volunteers contributing to planning <br />and event execution. Participants will gain opportunities to learn about hala's cultural significance,, engage directly with <br />practitioners and conservationists, and build meaningful connections with one another. By offering these experiences at no <br />cost, the event lowers barriers to participation and broadens community access to cultural knowledge and environmental <br />education. Funding will also cover essential administrative support through our fiscal sponsor, ensuring that resources are <br />managed responsibly and effectively. Overall, these funds will directly contribute to community education, cultural <br />resilience,, and stronger connections between people and "5ina. <br />
