Page 49 <br />I responsibilities under this Compact or the promulgated <br />2 rules, the Commission shall: <br />3 a. Provide written notice to the defaulting state and <br />4 other Compact States of the nature of the default, <br />5 the proposed means of remedying the default and/or <br />6 any other action to be taken by the Commission; and <br />7 b. Provide remedial training and specific technical <br />8 assistance regarding the default; <br />9 2. If a state in default fails to remedy the default, the <br />10 defaulting state may be terminated from the Compact upon <br />11 an affirmative vote of a majority of the Compact States, <br />12 and all rights, privileges and benefits conferred by <br />13 this Compact shall be terminated on the effective date <br />14 of termination. A remedy of the default does not <br />is relieve the offending state of obligations or <br />16 liabilities incurred during the period of default; <br />17 3.
