Born and raised on Hawai'i Island, Mr. Palacat-Nelsen has a deep <br />connection to West Hawaii. <br />After graduating from Konawaena High School, Mr. Palacat-Nelsen furthered his education at <br />Hawai'i Pacific University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. <br />His academic background, combined with his local insights, positions him as an asset for this <br />committee as we strive to enhance our community's development plans. <br />Mr. Palacat-Nelsen's commitment to giving back to Kona is truly commendable. He has actively <br />served on this committee before and participated in various community organizations, including <br />the Kona Historical Society, Kuakini Hawaiian Civic Club of Kona, and the Kealakekua Bay <br />Cultural Advisory 'Ohana to name a few. <br />If confirmed, Mr. Palacat-Nelsen will serve a three-year term to expire on May 31, 2028.
