EXHIBIT A <br /> Kilauea Recovery Grant Program Year 3 <br /> January 2026 <br /> ADDITIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE NEEDS <br /> Organization and Project Project Description Grant <br /> Amount <br /> Hawaii Environmental Project will restore five acres in Puna into a $236,438.00 <br /> Restoration resilient native tree and food forest following <br /> the 2018 Kilauea eruption. By removing <br /> Puna Perfect Project invasive albizia, replanting native and food <br /> species, creating local jobs, and hosting <br /> community education,the project supports <br /> biodiversity, workforce development, and <br /> regenerative land stewardship. <br /> The Food Basket Project will use disaster relief funds to $220,416.00 <br /> expand food recovery in Puna by hiring two <br /> K6kua Harvest Harvest Leaders and an Arborist. The project <br /> will reduce food waste, support local farmers, <br /> increase community food security, engage <br /> volunteers, and maintain tree health, building <br /> long-term agricultural resilience and <br /> environmental sustainability. <br /> Na Maka Hdloa 0 Waipi'o Project will strengthen Puna's food security $150,000.00 <br /> and resilience through culturally grounded <br /> `Ai Me Ka I'a agriculture education. It will host 10 free <br /> hands-on workshops and a two-week <br /> Hawaiian cultural immersion program for <br /> youth, teaching food cultivation, <br /> preservation, and mdlama 'dina practices at <br /> historic Kainild and Mokuhulu sites. <br /> Hawaii Volcano Education& Project will strengthen Puna's resilience $146,889.00 <br /> Resilience Institute through volcano education, youth <br /> development, and digital literacy. It provides <br /> Community Resilience educational content, Al literacy training for <br /> through youth development, seniors and youth, real-time emergency <br /> Al, Social Media and Volcano updates, outreach events, and resilient <br /> Education communication systems, building community <br /> preparedness,technological skills, and <br /> disaster readiness across Hawaii Island. <br /> Aloha 'llio Rescue Project will prevent family pet surrenders in $125,000.00 <br /> Puna by removing financial barriers. The <br /> Puna Pet Support for program provides veterinary care, <br /> Community Recovery spay/neuter services, pet food and supplies, <br /> fence repair, behavior training, and <br /> temporary boarding, helping 75-100 families <br /> keep their pets and strengthening community <br /> resilience. <br /> 5 <br />
