WHEREAS, OPSD has determined that the Project would advance State objectives for <br /> promoting infill development of affordable rental housing units in urban transit corridors and <br /> contribute to development initiatives in the regional health services corridor relating to the Hilo <br /> area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County strives to build a community that provides residents with <br /> affordable rental housing in proximity to regional medical facilities; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that, <br /> pursuant to Section 46-7 of the Hawai`i Revised Statutes, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br /> into an agreement with the State of Hawai`i, Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, <br /> for the purposes hereinabove described. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this <br /> resolution to the Honorable C.
