Since. 2021, we've placed nearly 2,000 healthy animals, all microchipped
and neutered, and have conducted trap/neuter/retum/manage (TNRM) programs. Withourfoster network,
veterinarian partnerships, and rescue collaborations, A4A has the experience and capacity to reduce
overpopulation, improve animal health, and enhance lives across Hawaii County.
4. In 1,000 characters, briefly describe the program/service you are seeking grant funds for.*
A4A's Fixed, Chipped, and Healthy Pets for Hawai'i program directly addresses animal welfare and cat
overpopulation in Hawaii County. We place over 600 healthy, microchipped, and fixed cats annually —more than
any other organization —into responsible homes, keeping them out of the Hawai'l County Animal Control system
and promoting healthy communities.
The Basics: All cats are spay/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and treated for parasites.
Adoption fees are kept low to allow as many families as possible to adopt responsibly. To continue this work, we
request Hawal'i County support for spay/neuter, microchip, and minimal veterinarian rare costs.
Medical Care: Grant funding will allow us to expand medical partnerships and provide, at a minimum, an initial
veterinarianvisit for every adoptable cat. Healthier animals mean faster adoptions, less disease in the
community, and lower veterinarian costs for their forever families —helping keep Hawat'I Hawaii.
Action 4 Animals Hawaii - Fixed, Chipped, and Healthy Pets for Hawaii
