c. Any other business planning efforts to be undertaken (500-character limit):*
2026. is a year of transformation for Action 4 Animals Hawai'i. After five years of rapid growth, A4A will use newly
formed committees to focus on strengthening services, deepening connections with adopters and with rescue
partners, all with a spirit of Ohana. We will increase funding through Hawaii County's support, Petco grants,
Best Friends partnerships, and private donors, to sustain and grow our volunteer -driven, lifesaving programs.
d. Significant challenges and/or barriers you anticipate encountering (or are encountering) and how the
program/service will address those challengesibarriers (500-character limit). x
Medical care has been a continual challenge for all Intakes. Limited care from Animal Control due to decreased
staffing (veterinarian and transfer coordinator) creates a strain on the system and unnecessary suffering. A4A
will address this by using the provided funding to supplement the County's offering and get all cats the medical
treatment they require - ensuring healthier animals, faster adoptions, and reduced disease in the community.
Action 4 Animals Hawaii - Fixed, Chipped, and Healthy Pets for Hawaii
