With CDBG-DR funds, the disaster recovery team launched a Voluntary Housing Buyout Program, <br />meeting the national objective of Low -to -Moderate Income Area (LMA) which allows the County to <br />serve all residents within the area of potential effect. The Program has three different phases consisting <br />of primary homeowners, secondary/vacation homeowners, and vacant landowners. The Program <br />received almost 800 eligible applications. To date, the Program has acquired 626 properties with <br />another 82 properties in escrow.
