The purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit parking along narrow shoulder <br /> segments of Ali`i Drive fronting Kahalu`u Beach Park to improve safety for pedestrians and <br /> motorists in the area. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24,article 10,division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28,entitled <br /> "No parking at anytime,"subsection(f),Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, <br /> as amended), is amended by amending the following listings to read as follows: <br /> AIi`i Drive, [makai] west(makai) side, [` <br /> . • v,t, ] from a point five hundred thirty- <br /> three feet north of Makole`a Street and extending to a point one hundred forty-six feet <br /> south of Makole`a Street." <br /> "• Ali`i Drive,west(makai) side, from a point[ninek ]one thousand <br /> ninety-two feet north of Makole`a Street and extending [thirty thr <br /> one hundred seventy-seven feet in a southerly direction." <br /> SECTION 3.
