Legislative Contingency Relief funds in the amount of $3,000.00 were <br />transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation in order to provide a <br />grant to USA Volleyball Inc. (UVI) via Resolution 245-25. These funds were to be <br />used to support the 2025 Hawaii Island Labor Day Classic Volleyball <br />Tournament. However, UVI had lower than anticipated facility rental fees and <br />the department is requesting that the funds be returned to the Legislative <br />Contingency Relief account. <br />The Department of Parks and Recreation.requests that this resolution be waived <br />from Finance Committee and be placed on the May 20, 2026 Council agenda <br />in order to expedite the transfer of these funds.
