The Kohala High School 100 Year Celebration Committee was formed to begin planning for a community -wide celebration honoring Kohala High School's centennial. Kohala High School has shaped generations of students who have gone on to become teachers, doctors, lawyers, cultural leaders, and community contributors. In some families, four generations have proudly graduated from this school. This centennial celebration provides an opportunity to honor past and present graduates, teachers, and staff, while bringing alumni home to Kohala. Many graduates have moved away and not returned; this event will encourage them to reconnect with their roots and community. By celebrating a century of education, commitment, and aloha, we strengthen community bonds and honor the school's legacy. *50. 501(c)(3) Mission Statement To empower a thriving North Kohala. * 51. The North Kohala Community Resource Center (NKCRC) serves as the fiscal sponsor for the Kohala High School Centennial Celebration Committee, providing administrative, financial, and organizational support to ensure the event is planned and executed successfully. NKCRC's role allows the committee to focus on community engagement, programming, and honoring the 100-year legacy of Kohala High School, aligning with NKCRC's mission to empower a thriving North Kohala. * 52.
