47. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these
funds.
By offering a high-level, professional event for local youth, the project aims to open future opportunities in their
chosen sports, specifically futsal and soccer. Many youths are unable to afford even basic participation costs, and by
providing support, the program helps reduce screen time, increase physical activity, and improve health outcomes,
addressing the state's high obesity rates. Most importantly, it helps keep youth engaged in positive activities and off
the streets. The more healthy activities available, the more likely youth are to remain on a positive path. Requested
funds from the current fiscal year will be used to support preparations for the tournament, ensuring that the event is
well -organized and accessible to participants from Hawaii and beyond.
