Kimball, District 1 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 568-26; A Resolution Recognizing <br />the Fourth and Final Graduating Class of the Hawaii National Guard Job' <br />Challenge Academy located at the Keaukaha Military Reservation in Hilo. <br />Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Resolution No. 568-26. The amendment is <br />shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the content of Resolution No. 568-26; material <br />to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. Due to the <br />limited scope of the amendment, a copy of the new draft of this resolution that would result if it <br />were adopted is not attached. <br />1. Resolution No. 568-26 is amended by amending the third WHEREAS clause to read as follows: <br />"WHEREAS, JCA is an optional, five -month residential program for young adults, <br />aged seventeen through twenty years old, YCA graduates, who desire to further their <br />opportunities for success through post -secondary education credentials, such as certificates of <br />course completion or industry -based certificates, facilitating their transition into the <br />workforce as employable individuals; [r w, the.-e f ,] and" <br />2.
