Iwaiwa Street: Proposed No Parking Zone <br /> We received a request to prohibit parking on both sides of S. Iwaiwa Street. This roadway is <br /> approximately 9-fr. wide with 1-fr.to 2-fr. shoulder on the mauka side and adrop-off on the makai <br /> side. Presently, parked cars restrict ingress/egress from residents' driveways and would make it <br /> difficult for emergency vehicles to gain access. <br /> Residents of S. Iwaiwa Street support this proposal. <br /> We request that the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 under <br /> (c) Hilo (no parking at anytime) be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance.
