senior firefighters,with priority consideration for those over forty years of age who have accumulated greater occupational exposure; and T WHEREAS,this donation will not replace the Department's existing annual medical examination process but will provide supplemental advanced screening; and WHEREAS,these enhanced examinations help with early detection of potential health issues,reduce long-term medical and disability costs, and ensure that our firefighters receive the same standard of occupational health protection already in place in other counties; and WHEREAS,the Department is committed to protecting the health and safety of its firefighters and recommends the acceptance of this donation by the Council; now,therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that, pursuant to Section 13-12 of the Charter and Section 2-162 of the Code,the donation from 1582 Medical Group hereinabove described is hereby accepted.
