EPA's Determination <br /> After considering the performance of these facilities and the significant costs and resources needed to <br /> complete these rehabilitations, in addition to the County's ongoing rehabilitation work at the Hilo <br /> WWTP and other wastewater infrastructure, pursuant to paragraph 48("Modification")of the Consent <br /> Order, EPA is agreeable to revising the Consent Order to extend the schedules set forth in Appendix 1, <br /> as follows: <br /> Kula'imano WWTP(AOC App. 1,Sec. I, Para. 2) <br /> - October 31, 2031—Issue invitation for bid; <br /> - March 1, 2032—Start of construction on the project; and <br /> - June 30, 2035—Complete construction and begin operation of the upgraded facility. <br /> Papa'ikou WWTP(AOC App. 1, Sec. I, Para. 3) <br /> - October 31,2030—Issue invitation for bid; <br /> - March 1, 2031—Start of construction on the project; and <br /> - June 30, 2034—Complete construction and begin operation of the upgraded facility. <br /> A copy of the amended Consent Order is attached for your signature.
