Although the zoning of the property is iZM-1, a special <br /> Use Permit 0949) was obtained to devebp the facility. <br /> Though this is a residential zone, it is my understanding that commercial <br /> projects ad jacent to the Medical Center have been granted variances to albw <br /> signs based on commercial requirements. <br /> Due to the nature of this facility, which consists of 10 medical offices, we are <br /> asking for a variance to albw for the construction of a commercial ground sign <br /> not to exceed 32 square feet. This would be in lieu of the present residential <br /> requirement of 6 square feet, maximum. <br /> The proposed street sign will be constructed of individual plastic letters, <br /> mounted on a bw concrete bbck wall. The concrete bock will be covered with <br /> cobred plaster to match the Medical Center (see attached drawings and <br /> samples).
