Joshua K Leo <br /> Request: O and A-la to FA-2a <br /> Tax Man Kev: 1-4-73.27 <br /> The Planning Commrssion, after a duly held public heanng on January 19, 2001, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislanve ball to change the distract classification for <br /> approximately 3 232 acres of land from Open (O) and Agncultural (A-la) to Family Agncultural <br /> (FA-2a). The property is located to Vacationland Hawazi Subdivision, Unit II, on the east side of <br /> Halepueo Road and approximately one mile east of the Kapoho-Pohoilu Road and Moani Road <br /> intersection, Halekamahina, Puna, Hawazi. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Plamm~g Dtrector's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone. <br /> The request for a change of zone designation from Open (O) and Agncultural <br /> (A-la) to Famrly Agncultural (FA-2a) would allow the applicant to construct a farm <br /> dwelling on the subject property <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed It is only <br /> through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and decisions <br /> can be made to better tune and stage developments to achieve growth determined by the <br /> General Plan and related planning documents The implications of these evaluations and <br /> _ • i , <br /> :~•-r-t <br /> <br />
