Arakaki, Chairman <br />and Members of the County Council <br />County of Hawaii <br />25 Aupuni Street <br />Hilo, HI 96720 <br />Dear Chairman Arakaki and Members: <br />State Land Use Boundary Amendment Application (SLU 01-003) <br />Request: Agricultural to Urban <br />Change of Zone Application (REZ 01-005) <br />Request: Agricultural (A -5a) to General Commercial (CG -20) <br />Applicant: EHP Corporation <br />Tax Map Key: 7-5-3.19 <br />The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on May 4, 2001, voted to recommend <br />for your approval the proposed legislative bills to change the State Land Use district from the <br />Agricultural to Urban District and a Change of Zone changing the district classification from <br />Agricultural (A -5a) to General Commercial (CG -20) for approximately 5.083 acres of land. The <br />property is located on the west side of Henry Street, across from the Crossroads Shopping Center <br />and approximately 350 feet south of the intersection of Henry Street and Palani Street, Lanihau <br />15i, North Kona, Hawaii. <br />The Commission concurs with the following findings as recommended by the Planning Director: <br />State Land Use, Boundaa Amendment <br />The approval of the reclassification from the State Land Use Agricultural to the <br />Urban District will not be violative of Section 205-2, Chapter 205, Hawaii Revised <br />Statutes, nor will it be inconsistent with the Land Use Commission Rules, the County <br />General Plan and the Hawaii State Plan.
