COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> REPORT 66 <br /> (AMENDED) <br /> At its meeting of May 2, 2001, the County Council by friendly amendment, with <br /> no objections, amended Finance Committee Report 66 , as follows: <br /> The following sentence, in the beginning of the second paragraph, was deleted in its <br /> entirety: <br /> "The State of Hawa`i Department of Health (DOH, through a miscalculation of fringe <br /> <br /> benefit costs, overpaid the County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program the <br /> amount of $470,250." <br /> and the following underscored material was added: <br /> "The State of Hawa'i Department of Health (DOH) pays for the emerQency Medical <br /> Services (EMS) program thro~h a contract with the Hawaii Coun Fire Department. <br /> Part of the moneyreceived from the DOH is used to reimburse the County for the fringe <br /> beneftis of EMS personnel.
