That's one hundred times greater than the <br /> currently established tax rate. That would be gross discrimination. <br /> I respectfully request that land recently covered by lava be removed from the <br /> tax roles until infrustructure is restored to provide access and water <br /> service. This will save the county tax department the incremental cost of <br /> servicing these properties. <br /> Actually the discriminatory taxes collected since 1992 should be refunded. <br /> There is no evidence that adding one tax lot to the current tax roles would <br /> increase the operating costs of the tax department by anything near $100. The <br /> Council should initiate a study to determine the actual incremental cost of <br /> adding a single tax lot to the tax roles. <br /> The minimum tax should (at the most) be based on the incremental cost of <br /> adding a tax lot to the tax roles. <br /> I respectfully request that the Hawaii County Council kill the <br /> bill to <br /> increase in minimum real estate taxes t® X100 pr®p®sed by <br /> Councilman Curtis <br /> Tyler. <br /> Carl I'.
