COUlOTTY O~ I~AWI`I TATS OF IIAWAI`I <br /> ~SOLUTIOlOT 1010. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SIX THOUSAND NINE <br /> HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR AND 71/100 DOLLARS ($6,954.71) FROM THE DANIEL <br /> R. SAYRE MEMORIAL FUND FOR USE BY THE WAIAKEA AND KAILUA <br /> RESCUE STATIONS. <br /> WHEREAS, a grant was awarded by the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Fund to the <br /> Hawaii County Fire Department in the amount of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Four <br /> and 71/100 Dollars ($6,954.71); and <br /> WHEREAS, said grant is to be used for the purchase of necessary equipment for <br /> <br /> the Waiakea and Kailua rescue stations to increase the safety and efficiency while <br /> engaged in high angle rescues; and <br /> WHEREAS, the acceptance of this donation will increase public safety for the <br /> residents of the County of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii <br /> County Charter, the County of Hawaii Fire Department is authorized to accept a grant of <br /> <br />
