Clandestine Drug Laboratory Seizures <br /> `T'hrough the use of amulti-agency response team, detect, investigate, and neutralize <br /> clandestine laboratories. <br /> <br /> D. PROJECT ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT: <br /> INVESTIGATIVE OPERATIONS, AREA I & II <br /> Assistant Chief <br /> The Assistant Chief, Investigative Operations, or designee has general responsibility for the <br /> overall rrianagement, integration, and coordination of the Clandestine Drug Lab {CDL) <br /> program and has final authority for participants in clandestine laboratory operations. <br /> Lieutenant, Vice Section, Areas I & II <br /> 1. The lieutenant of the clandestine laboratory response team assigns officers to perform <br /> duties during all phases of clandestine laboratory operations. <br /> 2. The lieutenant will be certified in all phases of clandestine laboratory investigations. <br /> 3. The lieutenant or designee establishes the department's Personal Protective <br /> Equipment program. <br /> 4. Exercises operational control over the department's CDL program. <br /> Monitors all aspects of the CDL program to determine program effectiveness. <br /> 6. Establishes policy and issues regulations and guidance for processing and <br /> investigation of CDL's. <br /> 7. Manages the continuing training program for CDL investigations. <br /> 8. Apprises higher authorities of significant CDL incidents and situations. <br /> 9. Approves operational plans for clandestine laboratory search warrants. <br /> 10.
