(27) programs to enforce child abuse and neglect laws, including laws protecting against child <br /> sexual abuse, and programs designed to prevent child abuse and neglect; and <br /> (28) programs Evhich establish or support cooperative programs between law enforcement and <br /> media organizations, to collect, record, retain, and disseminate information useful in the <br /> identification and apprehension of suspected criminal offenders. <br /> WHEREAS, the Governor has designated Agency to serve as Hawaii's office for <br /> administering the federal financial assistance available under the Act; <br /> WHEREAS, Grantee, as an agency of the Countv of Hawaii , is qualified to <br /> receive funds available to Hawaii under the Act and its implementing regulations (28 C.F.R. Part <br /> 33) or guidelines (Bureau of Justice Assistance, Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law <br /> Enforcement Assistance Program Guidance), and has applied to Agency for receipt of the same <br /> as a subgrantee; <br /> WHEREAS, Agency has reviewed Grantee's application for funds, and is <br /> satisfied that all of the requirements of the Act and its implementing regulations have been <br /> satisfied and that Grantee is capable of using the federal funds requested appropriately; <br /> WHEREAS, Grantee has demonstrated the capacity to provide the services, <br /> programs and activities described herein and is ready, willing and able to provide the required <br /> services, programs and activities; <br /> <br /> Re~•. 07/00 j <br /> <br />
