Are there no standards set for what
constitutes a "Public Improvement" for the purposes of our County
Budget?
And in looking at the term "Public Improvement" from another
perspective, I believe it is safe to say the majority of the
Public who took the time to mail, phone, fax and personally
present testimony to the Council have felt strongly that
Bill No. 62 is NOT A "PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT".
So, I respectively ask the Council to demonstrate your
respect for all those people by deferring Bill No. 62 until such
time as an impartial E.I.S., Cost/Benefit and Marketing Analysis
can demonstrate to our Community that two million dollars of
Public Funds to be used as seed money for the development of
an Irradiation Facility on Hawaii Island can, in fact, result
in a genuine Public Improvement,
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
- i
~Vf ~a..z7 f _ 7~~~^Y c-
Nancy Pisicchio ~`A ~i1A`
President ('amp.
