Series C
Series C projects a more rapid growth. It assumes that visitor growth rates are in the 3 per
cent -plus range as compared to the Series 13 assumption of a 2 per cent growth rate. The
construction of the proposed State prison will generate 2,000 construction jobs over three years
and 1,000 permanent jobs to support the facility. This projection also assumes that the papaya
industry will grow at 4 per cent, rather than 2 per cent, because of the utilization of a post-harvest
treatment facility.
SERIES C
POPULATION AND VISITOR INDUSTRY
PROJECTIONS.
