C. Community Involvement. Engage commtnity members to actively <br /> participate in identifying and prioritizing needs and services offered to <br /> ensure the appropriateness and comprehensiveness of services for the <br /> targeted youth. <br /> D. Cultural Awareness and Identity. Provide services and programs that <br /> aze responsive to and reflect the culture, ethnicity, and idrntity of the <br /> program pazticipants. Deliver services within contexts that promote an <br /> understanding and appreciation of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the <br /> community and provide youth with opportunities to develop an <br /> understanding of self and one's culture and a sense of identity and <br /> belonging. <br /> E. Youth Involvement. Engage youth and provide them with significant <br /> roles in planning and implementing activities, as well as oppomnnities to <br /> contribute to the organization and the community. <br /> F. Developmentally Appropriate Programming. Provide services and <br /> activities --.~:tched to the cogtitive, physical, social, and emotional <br /> developmer.:al abilities of youth, as well as, sensitive to the unique needs <br /> of each program participant. <br /> G. Gender Appropriate Programming. Provide services and activities <br /> responsive to the strrn~ths and unique needs of both females and males. <br /> H. Family Involvement. Provide parent support and strengthening activities <br /> to promote parental competencies and rncourage involvement of family <br /> members and/or significant adults in fostering family cohesion and <br /> positive relationships within diverse family structures. <br /> I. A Caring Adult Relationship. Provide youth with opportunities to be <br /> involved with adults in meaningful interactions and quality relationships <br /> t:.at aze consistent and that provide approval for pro-social behaviors and <br /> sanctions for antisocial behaviors. <br /> <br /> III. Program Aciivities <br /> To address the following identified YGRS Purpose Areas, the PROVIDER shall: <br /> A. Purpose Area 1 Law Enforcement and Gang Intelligence <br /> 1.
