TMK: 2-2-37:48: Ordinance No. 78-397 (REZ 312) effective 11/21/78 <br />from RS -10 to ML -20 for Hawaii Petroleum Distributors, Inc., presently <br />the site for Minit Stop self service station. <br />PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br />20. Traffic: Kanoelehua Avenue is a two-way, six -lane, divided State roadway that <br />fronts the eastern boundary of the subject property. Kekuanaoa Avenue is a two- <br />way, two-lane County roadway that fronts the northern boundary of the subject <br />property. Kekuanaoa Avenue also has a right tum lane and left turn lane at the <br />intersection. A traffic impact report measured the existing traffic levels for the <br />Kanoelehua Avenue and Kekuanaoa Avenue intersection. This report was <br />prepared for the Draft Environmental Assessment, Hilo International Airport <br />Project No. AH1011-03 by Wilson, Okamoto & Associates in September 2001. <br />According to the applicant, the proposed use of the subject 2.847 acre parcel for <br />industrial/commercial purposes is not anticipated to have any adverse impact on <br />the roads and traffic circulation in the area. Any potential impacts may be <br />mitigated by complying with the requirements of the County Department of <br />Public Works and the State Department of Transportation. <br />21. Access: Access to the subject property will be from Kanoelehua Avenue and/or <br />Kekuanaoa Avenue. Curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements have been <br />constructed along Kanoelehua Avenue. <br />
