16. Flora/Fauna Resources: According to the applicant, the entire property has been <br />previously cleared and graded. The property has remained vacant since 1978. <br />The vegetation that is presently on the site consists primarily of a mixture of <br />grasses and weeds. No candidate, proposed, or listed threatened or endangered <br />species as set forth in the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended are <br />known to this area and given the extent of prior disturbance by earthmoving <br />equipment and agricultural use, it is highly unlikely that any are present on the <br />subject property. <br />17. Archaeological/Historical/Cultural Resources: The entire property has been <br />previously cleared and graded. Given the extent of prior modification by <br />earthmoving equipment, it is highly unlikely that any historic sites or buried <br />cultural deposits remain on the property. The Department of Land and Natural <br />Resources Historic Preservation Division (DLNR-HPD) submitted a comment <br />stating that they believe that previous grubbing/grading has altered the land and <br />they believe that "no historic properties will be affected' by this undertaking. <br />18. Public Access: There is no record of a designated public access to the shoreline <br />or mountain areas that traverses the property. <br />19. Commercial/Industrial Rezonings in the Vicinity: Along Kanoelehua Avenue, <br />within the immediate vicinity, the following rezonings have been approved: <br />A. TNM: 2-2-35:64: Ordinance No. 857 (REZ 428) effective 3/16/83 from <br />RS -10 to ML -20 for Rainbow Petroleum Co., presently the site of the <br />Aloha Petroleum self-service station. <br />
