postal worker, was believed to have utilized the postal <br /> service to ship marijuana from Hawaii to the <br /> Continental U. S. <br /> c. On July 17, 1996, 472 cultivated plants were recovered <br /> during execution of a search warrant upon a residence <br /> in the upper Hilo town area. Forfeiture proceedings of <br /> the property are pending. <br /> d. On August 28, 1996, 506 growing marijuana plants were <br /> recovered at a residence in Honomolino, Kona. <br /> Forfeiture proceedings on the property are pending. <br /> e. On September 13, 1996, 291 cultivated plants were <br /> recovered at a residence in Kealakehe, Kona. This was <br /> the second time cultivated plants were recovered on the <br /> property. Forfeiture proceedings of the property are <br /> pending. <br /> f. On October 24, 1996, 395 cultivated plants and 4.6 <br /> pounds of dried processed marijuana were recovered at a <br /> residence in Hawaiian Acres, Puna. <br /> q. On November 18, 1996, an indoor growing operation was <br /> discovered during a search warrant. As a result 110 <br /> plants were seized. Investigations revealed that the <br /> suspect had 3-4 previous indoor growing operations. <br /> h. On February 4, 1997, 634 growing marijuana plants were <br /> recovered at a residence in Kalopa, Hamakua. <br /> Forfeiture proceedings are pending. <br /> i. On February 8, 1997, 140 cultivated marijuana plants <br /> were seized at a residence in Kailua, Kona. Also <br /> located and seized were 18 homemade "nail board" booby <br /> traps. <br /> <br /> j. On February 21, 1997, 3.5 pounds of dried processed <br /> marijuana and two weapons were recovered during a <br /> search warrant at a residence in Wainaku, Hilo. On <br /> March 8, 1997, approzimately six pounds of dried <br /> processed marijuana was purchased from the same <br /> suspect. A second search warrant was executed on the <br /> residence resulting in the recovery of 135 cultivated <br /> plants and approximately seven pounds of dried <br /> processed marijuana. Forfeiture proceedings of the <br /> property are pending. <br /> - 3 - <br /> <br />
