COUNT' OF IIAWAI`~ ~T~~TE OF IIAWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TFIE ACCEPTANCE OF SIX (6) SETS OP LOCK DISPLAYS TO <br /> <br /> THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Solution 2003 -Neighborhoods in Action is donating six (6) sets of lock displays for the <br /> Hawaii County Police Department's Community Policing Officers to educate the community on how to slow <br /> burglar entry, to deter some crime, and to protect their homes and businesses better; and <br /> WHEREAS, the lock displays, with an estimated total value of $565.00, will be used at Neighborhood <br /> <br /> Watch meetings to teach residents and business owners about the type of locks that may make their homes <br /> and businesses more burglar resistant; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br /> behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, 03E IT RESOLVED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE.
